Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Adventure advisor representative will pick you from the Airport and then take you to the hotel. Depending on arrival time after taking some rest, you can stroll around the city on your own.

Day 02: Free day: Trekking preparation

After breakfast , you will have time to prepare for the trip or you can troll around the city on your own. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Flight from Kathamndu to Bhadrapur and Drive to Ilam

After breakfast, you will prepare for a flight to Bhadrapur. Your guide will accompany you for the flight to Bhadrapur . After reaching in Bhadrapur, you will drive toward’s Ilam. Ilam is the largest tea plantation area in Nepal. It is also a major tourist area for internal tourists.

Day 04: Drive from Ilam to Taplejung

After having the breakfast, you will drive to Taplejung. The drive takes along the beautiful countryside of eastern Nepal. As you pass the village of Phidim along the way, you will reach the Limbu village of Taplejung.

Day 05: Trek from Taplejung to Mitlung

Trekking will start from today. You will trek through lush mid hills and traditional villages. These villages have traditional mud-brick houses. Along the way, you will also encounter various rice paddies, terraced farm fields, and cardamom farms. You will continue to trek along the bank of Tamor River to reach Mitlung, where you will spend your night.

Day 06: Trek from Mitlung to Chirwa

After having the breakfast and preparing for the further journey. You will take hike toward’s Chirwa (Beautiful village with Limbu settlement) . On the way you will pass through various Limbu and Tamang villages like Sinwa, Tawa, and Porke. You will also trek over old landslide debris and boulder. As you trek through river deposits, you will trek downhill to Thiwa Khola. You will cross Thiwa Khola on a wooden bridge and then reach.

Day 07:Trek from Chirwa to Lelep

The trek to Lelep goes uphills and downhills along with great scenic sub tropical landscape. Initially during the trek the trail decends toward Tamor river carrying through the lush green fields and forest after crossing the river. The trail will continue through terraced cardamom farm fields .Upon reaching to Lelep we will settle for the day.

Day 08:Trek from Lelep to Amjilossa

After breakfast our trek starts with embracing upcoming challenging for the day. Today we will win over significant height climbing. The trail will pass through suspension bridges, dense forest and steep paths. After trekking through a series of uphills and downhills along the way from Solima village, you will get to the village of Amjilosa . Amjilossa lies in the border ridge of the upper and the lower part of Kanchenjunga Region and you can notice the change in climate, people, architecture etc along the way.

Day 09:Trek from Amjilossa to Gyabla

The trek from Amjilosa initially takes you through riverbank as you pass through dense bamboo, fir and rhododendron forests. You will also encounter a series of cascading waterfalls flowing from the high mountains above. After crossing a small uphill, you will reach the village of Gybala. Gybala is also referred to as a Tibetan refugee settlement. This is because Tibetans have been living here as refugees on a camp of Gyabla for a long time. Gybala has some excellent Tibetan Handmade goods like beads, carpet, etc.

Day 10:Trek from Gyabla to Ghunsa

From Gyabla, the trekking trail descends downhill to a river. After trekking past the river, the valley starts to open up as you head towards Phale. Phale is another beautiful Tibetan settlement. You can purchase some handicraft here if you want to. The trail from Phale to Ghunsa consists of a wide terrain with a mixture of conifer and pine forest along the way. Ghunsa is a settlement that has a majority of Sherpa people. Ghunsa also has its own local hydroelectricity plant. Ghunsa is the first place along the trek with an altitude of more than 3000 meters.

Day 11:Acclimatization Day: Ghunsa

We will be holding our stay today at Ghunsa. The trekkers will adopt the low level of air pressure and oxygen. During the daytime we will inspect nearby places and Lepasan La Monastery. Other options would be day hike upto the Yamatri river Khola. The trail to this river takes you along the Lapsang La trail. You will finally get to a lake, which lies at the terminal moraine of the Yamatari glacier. You might also get to see animals like Bharal grazing above the village.

Day 12:Trek from Ghunsa to Khambachen

As you trek forwards from Ghunsa, you will have wonderful views of the mountains of the Kanchenjunga region. You will head out north as you follow the riverbank. Along the way, you will encounter beautiful meadows with rhododendron and pine forests as well as wildflowers. You will also have to be careful trekking today especially when you encounter the landslide-prone areas. After trekking for a few hours, you will reach Rampuk Kharka. The trail then passes through some waterfalls. After trekking past the landslide-prone areas, you will get to trails that offer you delightful views of Mt. Jannu. You will also get past the Khumbakarna (Jannu) Glacier on the opposite side of the valley before another descent.

Day 13: Trek from Khambachen to Lhonak

As the weather in the mountains can change abruptly in the evening time, you will set out for your trek early in the morning. Unlike the previous days of treks which took you through terraced fields and dense forests, the trail today passes through rocky fields and boulders. You will also cross the wonderful Khumbakarna (Jannu) Glacier, which lies on the opposite side of the valley. In the later part of the trek, you will encounter Landslide affected area. After crossing the area we will get to Lhonak. Lhonak is home to merely a handful of teahouses. The settlement of Lhonak is a summer settlement of shepherds.

Day 14: Hike to Kanchanjunga base camp ( 5143) and Return back to Lhonak

Today, you will head out to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp. Local people also call this place as Pangpema. Firstly, you will head towards Kanchenjunga Glacier. The trekking trail today is similar to that of yesterday. Some patches along the route are landslide prone as well as rocky, So it is quite tricky to trek in such areas. Trekking poles will come in really handy while trekking in these areas. After trekking past the rocky area, you will get to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp. The Kanchenjunga Base Camp is flat and grassy. From the Base Camp, you will hike up to a ridge. The ridge offers dramatic views of Mt. Jannu, North Face of Kanchenjunga and Chang Himal. You might also encounter people on an expedition or going for a peak climbing trek. After an exploration of the Kanchenjunga Base Camp, you will return to Lhonak.

Day 15:Trek from Lhonak to Ghunsa

Today, you will start your trek back to Ghunsa. After trekking for a few hours you will get to Khambachen. Along the way, you can see various mountains like Kanchenjunga, Taple Shikhar, Gimmigela and Mera Peak. You will arrive at Kambachen in the late afternoon. After having lunch in Kambhachen, you will make your descent to Ghunsa. You will trek past large meadows, rocky boulders, and dense forests along the way to Ghunsa .

Day 16:Trek from Ghunsa to Sele La 

The trekking trail to Sele Le is quite steep as you gain an altitude of 600 meters. The trail to Sele La passes through dense rhododendron and juniper forests. Many trekkers also claim to spot snow.

Day 17:Trek from Sele La to Cheram via 3 Passes

Today’s trek will be long as well as challenging. The trail passes through Sinion La ( 4440m) , Mrigen La pass (4480 m), and Sinelapche Bhanjyang (4646m). Sele Le Pass is a wonderful point to see the views of the northern face of Kanchenjunga, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Jannu. From the Sele Le Pass, you will descend down through steepy path to Cherem.

Day 18:Trek from Cheram to Ramche

Our trail leads out through woodland until we clear the tree line and approach the moraine field of Yarlung Glacier, with Jannu, Kanchenjunga and other peaks in the area soaring high above us in the valley. It will present rewarding views of the mountains. Later we will trek back toward’s Ramche for the night stay.

Day 19:Trek from Ramche to Tortong

We descend markedly today, leaving behind the alpine regions and dropping down into the lush surrounds of the lower foothills with their dense forests of rhododendron and pine. The rushing waters of the Simbuwa Khola become our steady companion as we continue on down until we reach Tortong.

Day 20:Trek from Tortong to Yamphudin

Another day of hiking on an undulating trail, our path taking us along tree-lined slopes and grass-green pastures hanging precariously to existence on the steep inclines. Our arrival at Yamphuding brings us back to the main road running through the region. The main inhabitants of Yamphuding are Sherpa, Limbu, and Rai. Yamphuding also has a school and a post office. There teahouses and lodges and lodges here are also really good. The inhabitants of the higher altitude regions also trek down to Yamphudin in the off-season.

Day 21:Trek from Yamphudin to Khebang

The path is mostly forest and you come past rivers, streams, and waterfalls. You’ll leave the Kanchenjunga Conservational Area and head to Khebang from Yamphudin. The settlements are mainly small on the way. You pass those small settlements, cross suspension bridges and walk along Kabeli Khola to reach Khebang.

Day 22: Trek from Khebang to Hapukhola

Through the forested trails and lush-green hills, walking past waterfalls, you’ll head towards Hapu Khola. Our last day of trekking as we hike through Limbu villages and a steady patchwork of farmland and pastures, with the smiling faces of the ever curious locals greeting us as we walk by. Our arrival in Hapukhola gives us pause to relax and reflect on an amazing journey through one of Nepal's most remote regions.

Day 23: Drive from Hapukhola to Birtamod

Today, you will take a long drive from Hapukhola to Birtamod. You will also enjoy splendid views of lush hills, snow-capped mountains, and rivers on your way to Birtamod. You can catch some daily activities of the locals along the way as you drive past various settlements. The drive will bring you from the mountainous part of Hapukhola to the flatlands at Birtamod.

Day 24: Drive to Bhadrapur then fly back in Kathmandu.

A short drive takes us to Bhadrapur, where we pick up our return flight to Kathmandu in plenty of time to relax, unwind, and celebrate the trek with dinner hosted by Adventure advisor nepal.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our clients. Travel Insurance should cover personal injuries, helicopter rescue, repatriation expenses e.t.c. We ask our clients to buy Travel insurance for adequate protection against any unforeseen unpleasant events.



There are four seasons in Nepal : Winter (December – February), Spring (March – May), Summer (June – August), Autumn (September – November). For trekker’s autumn and Spring is considered as the best season for trekking. In autumn the view is clear after Monsoon rain and views spectacular along with fresh lush green vegetation.  In Spring temperature is moderate and trekking can be done with good view of the Himalayas. In winter the temperature remains generally mild, sometimes with windy. These season fewer Trekkers will be on the routes and one can enjoy quiet trails along with incredible view of Himalayas. Monsoon will be there in summer with heavy rain fall along the trails. The days are warmer and longer in this season. Although trekking can be done in this season but the Trails will be steep creating more challenges during the way. Besides, trekking all other types of tours in Nepal can be done all over the year. The summer may be disturbing sometimes but the essence of the tours remains the same.



3* accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhera on bed and breakfast basis. In Chitwan accommodation will be arranged on 3* along with full board meal. All accommodations are on Double bed/twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request with additional cost. Extra day’s accommodation are subject to availability. During trek, trekkers will accommodate in Tea houses/Lodges. They serve Breakfast and Dinner with the menu available in Teahouse/Lodge. Lunch will be served along the way in tea houses.


First aid kit and Emergency:

During the trips our guide carries the First aid kit with them. However you can also bring personal first aid kit with you. Rescue assistance (Should any emergency arise during your trek) we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. For this, it would be better to have your own travel insurance that can cover situations like: helicopter evacuation, medical treatment cost e.t.c. in case required. 


Documents and visas:

A visa for entry and a passport valid at least 6 months after return. The visa will be issued on presentation of the completed entry form, payment of the visa fee (to be made at the separate counter in the entry area at the airport) as well as a passport photo in the original (machine picture is sufficient) at Kathmandu airport. Children need their own passport, entries in their parents' passport are no longer recognized.

The fee can be paid in cash and also in euros (at the current rate). The visa allows multiple entries.

Visa Extension Fee
•    Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with $ 45 and $ 3 per day for additional days.
•    In the case of delay less than 150 days additional $ 5 per day as late fine.

Gratis Visa (Visa for Free)
Gratis Visa is issued free of cost in case of following categories of Visa applicants:
•    Children below 10 years except US citizens
•    Up to 30 days for SAARC Citizen (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa Year.  Afghan citizen are eligible for Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request concerned institution inviting you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with Department of Immigration to get you Gratis Visa 'On Arrival'.
•    Non Residential Nepalese(NRN) card holder ( issued by MoFA /Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad)
