We can encounter a gamut of topological variations in the Annapurna Circuit trek within the duration of a normal trek. Aptly titled as Nepal’s classic trek the Annapurna Circuit trek displays divergent landscape ranging from the sub-tropical region to the alpine region and the semi-desert region.

The Annapurna Circuit trek is demanding even for a seasoned trekker, but it is an exceptional introduction to walking in Nepal for those who are physically fit. This lodge based trek offers you magnificent vistas of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges and the opportunity to observe at close quarters the lifestyle and cultures of the different tribes of Nepal.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Adventure advisor representative will pick you from the Airport and then take you to the hotel. Depending on arrival time after taking some rest, In the Afternoon we take a first stroll through the old town of Kathmandu. Your tour guide will invite you to one welcome dinner in the hotel or in a nearby restaurant - a good opportunity to get to know and discuss the activities of the following days.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek preparation

After breakfast we will start sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley. Our Guide will take you the Historic and poplar attractions in Katmandu valley. Our first destination for the day will be one of the historic old town of Kathmandu “Kathmandu Durbar square”. Kathmandu Durbar square offers you the largest and oldest temple in the city, the Taleju Pagoda. Around the Royal Palace Hanuman Dhoka are to see numerous Hindu temples; The warm rust red of the bricks and the rich work harmoniously decorated with carving beams of wooden carvings. In the afternoon we walk up to Swayambunath also known as “Monkey Temple”. The local stupa is considered the largest Sanctuary of the New Aryan Buddhists and rises on a promising hill above the Kathmandu Valley. You can have a nice view of Kathmandu valley for the top. At noon we will have a brief session by our trekking guide.

Day 3: Drive to Khudi

After Breakfast we will start our ride to Khudi. On our ride we first cross the Thankot pass before descending in many serpentines into the Trisuli valley. On the way we will explore the terrace farming , local shops, grazing animals with constantly changing sceneries until Mugling. From there we follow the Marsyandi Khola up the valley to Besisahar to Khudi. On the way there are wide views of the shining snow peaks of the Manaslu and Annapurna Himal.  Once we reached to khudi we will settle for the day.

Day 4: Trek to Sirung

After Breakfast Our first day's walk involves crossing a few suspension bridges and waterfalls including several ascents and descents across rice paddies and a subtropical forest. The further we go upstream, we will start to experience Buddhist settlements mainly Tamang religion of Himalayan valleys.  Once we reached the Sirung we will have a close view of Nadi Chuli and Manaslu mountains.

Day 5: Trek to Jagat

After Breakfast we will start our trek toward’s Jagat . On the way we pass small villages, few temples and some suspension bridge. The more we climb the vegetation becomes less subtropical. We follow the trail alongside Marshyangdi river to reach Jagat.

Day 6: Trek to Dharapani

After Breakfast our trek will led to Dharapani. The trek will be pleasant with lush Forest on the way. During the trek we will stop by place called Chyamje. The view of Annapurna ranges from Chyamje is magnificent. Further we will continue to climb steeply and slippery path to sattale. On treading along a succession of rock-strewn trails, we descend to a grassy riverbank that leads to Tal.  We walk through the valley bottom the deeply buried gorge to reach Dharapani.

Day 7: Trek to Chame

After breakfast we stay on the left bank of Marsyandi, passing through small villages and settlements. Through the trek we will see the amazing views of Lamjung himal, Annapurna II  and Annapurna IV. On the way we pass by small hot springs.

Day 8: Trek to Pisang

After breakfast our journey will continue. We will follow path on the right side of the valley and walk over Bharatang continues. Again on the left bank of the river it goes through sparse spruce and pine forest uphill. From the narrow valley to the village of Pisang (about 3,200 m) , opens up a magnificent view on the imposing summit silhouette of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak (6,091 m). We will settle our trek for the day once we reach at  Lower pisang.

Day 9: Trek to Manang

After breakfast We follow the path on the eastern side of the river, hiking through beautiful coniferous forest and past a green pond. Then it goes up to place called Ghyaru .From there we follow 2 hours mountain trail, with magnificent Views of the Annapurna Himal to the traditional village of Ngawal. After the stop at Nagwal, we walk the last piece until the Administrative center Manang ,a pretty mountain village with narrow streets and dense crowded flat roof houses.

Day 10: Acclimatization day at Manang  

This day we remain at Manang. After Breakfast  We can have a short hike up to Chongkor View Point. From this point we have a wonderful view of the entire high valley of Manang and stand directly Annapurna and Gangapurna. Later we can walk along the bottom of the valley to Braga to visit the small monastery there.

Day 11: Trek to Yak Kharka 

After breakfast , we will trek towards  Yak Kharka. On the way there are willows and shrub junipers characterize the route through the alpine landscape. The trail further passes near the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead. Now the trail goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing wooden Bridge we will trek alongside ancient Mani wall which will lead us to Yak Kharka.

Day 12:  Trek to Thorong Phedi

After breakfast we will slowly take our steps to Thorong phedi. The trek to Phedi is a half day trek. On the will have a view of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. This is the last station before Thorong la Pass.

Day 13:  Trek to Muktinath via Thorong la pass

We will start our ascending around 4 am toward’s one of the world’s highest pass Thorong la Pass. We will use headlamps on the initial part of the trek.  With the steep ascending and elevation we will reach Thorong la pass. A break in the teahouse at the pass (if open) rewards us for the hardships of the climb. The descent is steeper downhill. After 3-4 hour we will reach down the green valley of  Muktinath.

Day 14:  Trek to Marpha

After breakfast ,explore the the monastery of Muktinath. The holy place for Hindus. The Hindus worship the saints Sources of the river Krishna Gandaki, which surround a temple court of 108 bronze gargoyleswhile the Buddhists are constantly burning and fed by a source of natural gas worship holy fires. After extensive visit of the many colorful prayer flags decorated area. Later we will start our journey to Marpha via Dzong, formerly main town of this region, down to Kagbeni, above the Kali gandaki River. As we cross Kagbeni we will arrive at Marpha.

Day 15: Trek to Kalopani

After Breakfast we make a detour over the suspension bridge to Chairo, a Tibetan one refugee settlement with small gompa. On the less traveled path on the east side of the river, with great views to Dhaulagiri chain, we walk to the place Sauru, where we have a make a small lunch break. In clear weather, there are always wonderful views the mighty cliffs of the Dhaulagiri in the west and the Nilgiri in the east. Shortly behind Sauru narrows the wide Kali Gandaki Valley, and abruptly the strong winds let down. About Kokethanti we reach Kalopani .Here we are now exactly in the place between the Eight-thousander Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, which marks the deepest valley in the world.

Day 16: Trek to Tatopani 

After Breakfast, our journey starts downhill. As we drop to lower elevations , sub tropical forest starts to appear.We can enjoy the view of Rupse Chahara ( Waterfall) along the way. We continue down the east bank from Kopchepani via Garpar to a bridge at Dana. Upon reaching Tatopani, we will call for the day.

Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani

Your trail passes on a flat level for some distance. Then the trail begins ascending steeply for at least one hour. The path then goes up through different villages inhabited by the people of different castes and agricultural land. The majority of the people here serve in the Gorkha and Indian Regiments. While trekking you cross through the Kali Gandaki river with panormic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Day 18: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani takes about five and half hours

Early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow-capped mountain peaks. After breakfast, trek Ghorepani to Tadapani through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, you frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green scenarios. Tadapani is a small village surrounded by beautiful forests and grants you magnificent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Annapurna II and so on.

Day 19: Drive to Pokhara via Ghandruk trek

It is a very easy trek by descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests. You can hear different kinds of birds chirping on the way. This is a popular destination for the bird lovers. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village where there is a handicraft center and Gurung museum. From this village you can see good views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Fishtail. We will continue our trek to Nayapul from where we drive to Pokhara.

Day 20: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach Manakamana Temple. On the way, you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to Kathmandu.

Day 21: Departure

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Airport.

  • Airport pick-up and drop-off by private A/C car or Van

  • 3-star hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • Accommodation in Lodge (Tea house) during the trek
  • Guided city tour in Kathmandu on Private vechicle.
  • Entrance fees for sightseeing/monument visits as per the itinerary
  • Entry Permit for Annapurna conservation Area
  • Trekkers' Information Management system (TIMS) card
  • All land transportation as per Itinerary
  • Domestic flights (Kathmandu- Pokhara -Kathmandu)
  • An experienced, English-speaking and government-licensed trek leader/ Tour leader in Kathmandu.
  • Porter service (2 trekkers: 1 porter)
